Pumps using oil-sealed rotary vane technology all rely on the same basic mechanism: a rotor shaft inside a stationary body, the stator. Into the rotor shaft are set a number of blades or vanes that can slide in and out of the shaft. The rotation of the vanes sweeps gas through the pump.

EVC series pumps offer an economical solution for many industrial applications requiring rough vacuum. They are specially suited to high throughput pumping of vapor-laden gas, and while they are not designed for pumping liquids or aggressive gases, they can cope with high vapor loads.
