The Edwards PVPK valves have been improved and now feature a mean-time-to-failure of 5000000 cycles for even longer life.

The range of single acting cylinder, spring return pipeline valves is designed for high speed actuation from standard pneumatic lines, and are offered in sizes NW10, 16, 25, 40 and 50. The NW16, 25, 40 and 50 versions of the valve are available in both right-angle and in-line styles, to give you more options when you design your vacuum system.

The PVPK valves are offered with a choice of either aluminium (PVKA) or stainless steel (PVKS) bodies. Both versions are available with bellows sealing. Bellows sealed valves are supplied with grease free vacuum wetted ‘O’ rings to deliver low contamination levels in sensitive applications. The aluminium bodied valves have the option of an ‘O’ ring sealed shaft providing a low cost valve ideal for high cycling duties, making them suitable for industrial applications.

The valves are designed for long life duties, with a MTTF of 5000000 cycles for both bellows and ‘O’ ring sealed versions providing long intervals between services.

A single microswitch is incorporated as standard to give electrical indication of valve status, whilst visual indication of valve position is also provided. Twin microswitch versions are available on some models for OEM applications.

The microswitch and solenoid are provided with a separate plug and socket rated to IP55. Both plugs can be orientated in different positions to suit system build.

The actuator can easily be turned through 90 degrees to suit system design and the valve can be mounted in any position.

A control valve is offered as an optional accessory in a range of voltages to control the operation of the valve, see page 12-25.
